  2. Welcome to SWHQ.

  4. As of May 1993 we started running new BBS software.
  5.  
  6. "CNet-BBS" has 100s of commands and some users might be overwhelmed by the
  7. magnitude of things.
  8.  
  9. The first thing that you'll probably want to do is move from the MAIN menu to 
  10. the FILE menu and "DROP" the areas that don't interested you.  
  11. > "DROP 1,4,8-10"
  12. Those areas will be skipped during your future visits here.
  13.  
  14. You'll also need to "move inside" directories online.  Just like AmigaDOS, the
  15. file/msg areas are setup as ROOT dirs and SUB dirs and SUB/SUB dirs, etc.

  17. A few of the more commonly needed cmds:

  19.    From the Message and File areas:
  20.       "N"           Browse for all new files and new msgs.
  21.       "RA"          Read all new msgs everywhere.
  22.       "RN"          Read all new msgs in the current area.
  23.       "RG SINCE -9" Read all new things since the last 9 days.

  25.    From any menu:
  26.       "MR"   Mail Read.  (Read any msgs addressed to you.)
  27.       "OFF"  Hang up.
  28.       "?"    Gives list of cmds and their meanings.
  29.       "HELP" Gives detailed info about cmds you specify.
